Abstract

Education is a program that is very important in today's life. Education isconsidered as the spearhead of the progress of a nation. During this COVID-19pandemic, it requires students to study with a different learning program thanusual. Of course, to maintain the quality of learning for each student from stressdisorders, an expert system for diagnosing student stress levels is needed. Anexpert system is a system whose performance is based on the knowledge of anexpert in a particular field, so that the system can make decisions aboutdiagnosing students' stress levels like an expert. The method used in this expertsystem is the Certainty Factor. With this method, the system will calculate theconfidence value of an expert on the symptoms with the confidence value of user's answer. Then the combined values are grouped into stress diagnostic levels.From the results of the study, it was found that the diagnosis of stress with thehighest confidence value and solution was obtained. So that in the future, studentscan handle or overcome the diagnosis of stress experienced.
