Abstract

Along with the development of building construction technology, the more often the use of concrete as a construction structure. One factor that affects the quality of concrete is the cement water factor (FAS). A low concrete tarik strong can cause cracks before reaching its boundary strength. Cracks that occur can reduce the strength of concrete and require extra maintenance in its countermeasures. Research was conducted to find out the effect of vegetable waste extract on the self healing concrete method with the planned cement water factor against the strong press concrete and crack recovery that occurs. The methods used in research are experimental. The test used is strong testing of concrete press with a cement water factor of 0.5 and testing the recovery of concrete cracks that have been added vegetable waste extract. The test object used amounted to 27 cube-shaped concrete measuring 15 x 15 x 15 cm with variations of vegetable waste extract of 0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% instead of cement. Treatment is soaking for 28 days and watering cracks every day for 28 days. Based on the results of a strong analysis of fas 0.50 concrete press with the method of self healing concrete concrete without bacteria age 28 days is 31.00 MPa and concrete with a variation of vegetable libah extract 2% is the largest press strength of 30.90 MPa. Strong concrete press after the largest crack is in the vegetable waste extract variation of 6% of 37.10 MPa. The results of the recovery of bacterial concrete cracks are seen visually, cracks in the concrete experience closure over the time of treatment. The closure of cracks in concrete is caused by bacteria that produce CaCO3 or lime substances.
