Abstract

To overcome problems in the wellbore when drilling, the wellbore pressure must be maintained between the maximum value so as not to cause fracture in the formation and fluid pressure in the formation. If the wellbore pressure exceeds the fracture pressure, there will be formation damage, which can cause lost circulation problems. Meanwhile, if the well pressure is less than the formation fluid pressure, it will cause other drilling problems such as kick problems and possible blowouts. In the calculation of pore pressure and fracture pressure. The literature study conducted is conducting a study on pore pressure prediction using the Eaton method in a carbonate field. Where the well data (sonic log and resistivity log) used by the researcher is correlated with seismic data. The results of calculations using the Eaton method will be calibrated with RFT (repeat formation test) and LOT (leak off test), From the results of calculations using the Eaton method, the Pore pressure value at the last depth / 9148 ft is 7385 Psi and the fracture pressure value is 7804 Psi.
