Abstract

This study aims to investigate the implementation of the cooperative learning model of Numbered Head Together (NHT) to improve students’ learning outcomes in learning Islamic Islamic Studies on the lesson of commendable behavior in grade 4 at SD IT Insan Utama 1 Pekanbaru. The type of the study is classroom action research. The subject of the study is the students in grade 4 at SD IT Insan Utama 1 Pekanbaru in the 2021/2022 academic year. The data collection techniques of the study are observation and tests. Based on the data, it can be seen that the students’ learning outcomes before implementing the cooperative learning model of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) is considered still not good with a percentage of 36% for the written test assessment aspect and 36% for the oral test assessment aspect. After implementing the cooperative learning model of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) at the first cycle, the score increases to 64% for the written test assessment aspect and 60% for the oral test assessment aspect with a medium category. At the second cycle, the results increases to 84% for the written test assessment aspect and 80% for the oral test assessment aspect with a very high category and the results of this second cycle have achieved the standard score so the study is not continued to the next cycle. The results of this study can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model of Numbered Head Togeteher (NHT) can improve students’ learning outcomes on the lesson of commendable behavior in grade 4 at SD IT Insan Utama 1 Pekanbaru.
