Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of asset structure, return on assets, cash holding and sales growth have a significant effect on the capital structure of plantation subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016- 2020. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis. This study uses an associative approach with the documentation method. The population in this study are plantation sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a sample of 8 companies that meet the research criteria. The period is carried out for 5 years using secondary data in the form of annual financial reports obtained from the www.idx.co.id website. The results show that simultaneously asset structure, return on assets, cash holding and sales growth affect the capital structure of plantation subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Partially, asset structure has a negative and significant effect on capital structure, return on assets has a positive and significant effect on capital structure, cash holding has a negative and insignificant effect on capital structure, sales growth has a positive and insignificant effect on capital structure.
