Abstract

this study aims to investigate whether there is an influence of the discovery learning model on students' learning motivation at the Integrated Agricultural Vocational School of Riau Province. This is a quantitative study with a correlation approach conducted at the Integrated Agricultural Vocational School of Riau Province from September to January 2022. The alternative hypothesis (Ha) of the study is: There is a significant influence of discovery learning model on students’ motivation in learning Islamic Studies in grade X at the Integrated Agricultural Vocational School of Riau Province. The results of the study show that: (1) Ha is accepted, which states there is a significant influence of discovery learning model on students' learning motivation with a significance of 0.070; (2) the influence of discovery learning model in grade X at Integrated Agricultural Vocational School of Riau Province,it is known that there is an influence of discovery learning model on students' learning motivation atthe Integrated Agricultural Vocational School of Riau Province. Based on the results of simple linear regression analysis, it is known that a significance value is 0.070, because 0.070 is less than 0.05, so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The magnitude of the influence of the discovery learning model is 0.037 or 37% or included in a very low category, because it is in the range of 0.00-0.199 in the correlation coefficient interpretation table, while the remaining 96.3% is influenced by other factors. In conclusion, the level of relationship between the discovery learning model and the students’ motivation inlearning Islamic Studies is very low.
