Abstract

The purpose in this research examined to know there was any influence of qira’ati method on students’ Al-Qur’an recitation ability in Tahsin Lesson at Integrated Islamic Junior High School Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru. The method in this research used quantitative research with correlational approach. The subject in this research was students at Integrated Islamic Junior High School Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru, the object in this research was qira’ari method on students’ Al-Qur’an recitation ability in tahsin lesson at Integrated Islamic Junior High School Insan Utama 2 Pekanbaru. The population was 72 students and sample was 72 students. Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. Based on data analysis that was done, it known that correlation between qira’ati method and stuents’ Al-Qur’an recitation ability was 0.598, and it could be concluded that both variables in medium correlation and the relationship in positive way, it meant that the higher qira’ati method variable score, Al-Qur’an recitation ability also increase. Meanwhile R square score was 0.358 and it meant that qira’ati method variable could explained Al-Qur’an recitation ability in 35.8% and 64.2% explained by others variable that did not conduct in this research.
