Abstract

In the capital market there are instruments that can be traded, one of which is bonds. Bonds are one of the financial instruments that are quite attractive for investors in the capital market or for companies to get funds for the company's interests. Bonds are based on issuers such as government bonds, local government bonds, corporate bonds. Government bonds are an alternative state financing that has a maturity date. In investing in bonds, there are factors that influence it such as inflation, interest rates, coupons, maturity, repayment risk and exchange rates. And the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of inflation, coupons, maturity and exchange rates on the prices of government bonds. This research uses a sample of 16 fixed series government bonds taken by purposive sampling technique. The analytical method used by multiple linear regression analysis method is done by SPSS 20. One of the conditions must use the classic assumption test to get a good regression. This study uses secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study uses quarterly data from 2016-2017. The results of the study show that inflation has no significant effect while coupons, maturity and exchange rates have a significant effect on the price of government bonds.
