Abstract

The Symbolic Meaning of Sacrifice in the Art of Horse Lumping by Puspo Turonggo Mudo Group in Tagagiri Tama Jaya Village Azhar Zulkifli 189110276 This study aims to determine the meaning of the symbolic messages of offering in the leathered horse art in the Puspo Turonggo Mudo Community in Tagagiri Tama Jaya Village. In this study, the researcher use a descriptive qualitative method by conducting in-depth interviews with the founder of the association, the head of the association and one of the people who like to watch the art of leathered horse, and made direct observations. The results of this study are non�verbal communication in the art of leathered horse in the Puspo Turonggo Mudo Association such as gestures and vocals. Then there is a symbolic meaning in each offering in the form of roasted chicken and tumpeng, free-range chicken eggs, setaman flowers, cok bakal, red and white jenang, make-up tools, young coconut, incense, sweet coffee, bitter coffee and sweet tea, diamonds. and lepet, water flowers, bananas and yellow rice. And there are also people who still not understand about the offerings in the art of leathered horse.
