Abstract

This research is entitled "Traditional Funeral for the Balinese Village Community in Jambai Makmur Village, Kandis District, Siak Regency, Riau Province" in 2021/2022. The problem discussed in this study is how the implementation of the Balinese Village Funeral Tradition in Jambai Makmur Village, Kandis District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Balinese Funeral Tradition in Jambai Makmur Village, Kandis District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. This research uses descriptive analysis method using qualitative data. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. This study uses data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions/verification. From the results of research conducted in the field, it can be concluded that the funeral tradition of the Balinese Village community in Jambai Makmur Village, Kandis District, Siak Regency, Riau Province is an activity or ceremony that is carried out when someone dies in Kampung Bali. This funeral tradition will start from the process of bathing the body to the last process, namely burial of the body with the aim that the body is placed in the best place according to the beliefs of the people of Kampung Bali.
