Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality control process and the causes of defective products in the clothing convection production process. This type of research is discrete to obtain data by making direct observations at the place of business under study. Product quality control uses statistical quality control (SQC) tools, in the form of checksheets, histograms, paretto diagrams, and fishbone diagrams that aim to be able to find out and calculate how many errors occur during the production process. The results of data processing using statistical tools such as histogram, Paretto diagram, and fishbone there are 3 (three) types of product defects that often occur, such as cutting defects, sewing defects, and size defects. In data processing, the most dominant one that often occurs is size defects, then the middle one is cutting defects and the last type of defect that occurs is the sewing process error. Suggestions and improvements generated through the fishbone diagram are that the company must pay attention to the workload given to each employee so as not to experience fatigue from work and apply production operational standards (SOP) so that the company is more productive and generates large profits.
