Abstract
This development aims to get uniform production results from the tubers chopper process. Tuber chopper development process carried out several stage namely design, describing of the task or function and design of product concepts and performance comparison with previous machines. Technical analysis includes analysis of power and speed that occurs on the shaft. The engine power of tubers is plan to use an electric motor that is adapted to the ability of power battery for UKM which is estimated to around average 84,7 watts. The results of tubers chopper with a production capacity of 24 kg/hour, and the dimensions of the machine length 76 cm x width 100 cm x height 62 cm using dc motor power drive 0,25 HP 1420 rpm, order to uses teak wood with a thickness of 70 mm. The performance test result show that the engine works quite well with the result of a uniform tuber display using an electric jack push system.
