Abstract

Groundwater is a natural resource that has an important role in human life. The environmental conditions of densely populated areas can affect the quality of groundwater. The purpose of this study were to determine the distribution and direction of groundwater flow, the feasibility of groundwater quality in physical- chemical, the groundwater quality mapping zoning, and groundwater facies conditions in Titian Antui Village, Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The parameters tested were color, taste, smell, temperature, dissolved solids (TDS), electrical conductivity (DHL) and pH. There are 22 well stations analyzed, overall the dominant color of groundwater was clear, the dominant taste of groundwater was fresh, the dominant smell of groundwater was smelly, the temperature ranged from 28,2 o C - 28.9 o C, the TDS value ranged from 469 mg / l -133,1 mg / l, DHL values ranged from 1562 μS / m – 233,3 μS / m and pH values ranged from <6,5. The results of the groundwater facies analysis based on the Kurlov calcification method, the Stiff diagram and the Piper diagram show 2 types of groundwater equations in the study area, namely Na(K) HCO3 facies group that fills the northwest and southeast, and Ca(Mg) HCO3 facies group thar fills the shouthwest and southeast . Groundwater in the research area of the 22 well stations that were taken for groundwater, name of the stations met the requirements of Permenkes No. 32/429/Menkes/Per/Iv/2010 concering the quality of drinking water and Permenkes No.32 of 2017 concering Enviromental Health Quality Standards for Sanitary Hygiene Needs.
