Abstract

This researcher aims to determine the obstacles faced by the Pekanbaru City Government in Waste Management. This type of research which is located in Arengka Morning Market, Pekanbaru City is the type of research used is the qualitative research type method by means of a survey, which prioritizes the interview list as a data collection tool and the data collected by this tool is then used as the main raw material for observing the conditions of the research location. There are key informants and informants in this study, namely the head of the waste management sector, the facilities and infrastructure section, third parties, traders. The three data collection techniques used in determining key information and informants are interview, observation and documentation techniques. Types and data collection techinques used consisted of primary data which was collected through a list of interviews and results of field research and secondary data collected using reports and notes and documents. Based on this observing technique, assess and conclude that the implementation of the Pekanbaru City Regional Regulation on waste Management is quite good.
