Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the analysis of the form of the song Joget Karimun by Wahyudi Ferdiansyah in Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province. The theory of the concept of music analysis used is Chaplin (2000:25), the theory of song form used is the theory of Prier SJ (2017:2), namely melody, rhythm, harmony, and dynamics, the theory of the elements of song form used is M theory. Suharto (1986:38) namely motifs, phrases, and sentences. and the theory of musical elements used is Aaron Copland (1939:33) namely rhythm, melody, and timbre. The research method in this research is interactive qualitative, while the data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. The research results are obtained based on descriptive data. The object of this research is the song "Joget Karimun". The results of the researchers in this study show that Joget Karimun has 16 motifs, 12 phrases, 4 forms of song lyrics. 3 themes, namely the first theme is on the 27th to the 42nd bar, the second theme is on the 43rd bar to the 58th bar and the 3rd theme is located on the 61st bar to the 74th bar. The unit of repetition in the song Joget Karimun is located on the 27th bar. to 74 which is also a repetition of themes A, B, and C. The climax and coda of the song Joget Karimun are located on the 61st bar to the 74th bar. The song "Joget Karimun" uses a scale of 2 # or D = do, the tempo used by Allegro moderato (116-120 bmp) which means fast. The song Joget Karimun uses a time singnatur of 2/4, the song Joget Karimun is sung by a man with a high voice or tenor. The dynamics of the song Joget Karimun is p (piano) which means it is sung in a soft voice and Mf (mezzo forte)which means to be sung a bit lounder.
