Abstract
This study aims to determine the suitability of the accounting application applied by the daily goods shop business in Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency with the basic concept. The research was conducted using a qualitative method, with the data collection in the form of structured interviews and documentation. Structured interviews were conducted on thirty three respondents. The data collected in this study are primary and secondary. The results of this study indicate that the application of accounting in the daily goods shop business in Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency has not been in accordance with the basic concepts and accounting principles that apply at this time. Because in the business unit concept there are still people who have not separated personal money and household money, in the business continuity concept all respondents do not record their fixed assets and in the time period concept almost all of them apply the concept. However, the results of this study also still need improvements to improve quality in the future.
