Abstract

Problems that are often encountered in wells that have been produced for a very long time include a decrease in oil production, due to the production of large amounts of water. The longer the well is produced, the water will approach, even reaching the perforation zone. Well X initially had 3 perforation zones namely at intervals of 1223 ft – 1231 ft, 1250 ft – 1258 ft and 1291 ft – 1294 ft, after operating for a long time, well X experienced problems with high water cut which were identified as due to a decrease in the quality of bonding cement. Among the ways to increase oil production again is cementing of the water zone around the perforation, after which a reperforation is carried out to improve the production line between oil and water. To determine the success rate of the reperforation workover, the calculation of PI and IPR of well X before and after workover was carried out using the Wiggins method and evaluation of cementing results and perforation intervals using CBL log, log gamma ray and CCL on well X. reperforatio on well X was only carried out at two intervals, namely depths of 1223 ft – 1231 ft and 1250 ft – 1258 ft, while at intervals of 1291 ft – 1294 ft the perforation interval was closed because it was indicated that it was no longer productive. Based on the results of this study, well X has a flow rate of 86,129 BFPD with a PI of 0.176 bpd/psi before workover, then workover to improve the quality of bonding cement shows that the cement bond in well X has a good bonding value based on the results of the CBL log read, after being done reperforate of well X experienced an increase in flow rate of 1848.316 BFPD with a PI of 5.58 bpd/psi. The problem of water cut in well X, which previously reached 99.32% with a total oil production of 0.44 BOPD, experienced a decrease in water cut to 99% with an increase in oil production of 7.13 BOPD.
