Abstract

This study aims to find out about improving the basic technique of passing down volleyball through the playing method in class X Ipa student of MAN 3 Indragiri Hilir. This type of research uses the type of CAR research (classroom action research). The subjects in the study were all students of class X Ipa MAN 3 Indragiri Hilir, totaling 20 students. The initial data in the first cycle of the volleyball bottom passing test though the playing method showed that only 65% of students achieved the KKM, i,e. Students who completed 13 students and 35%, namely students who did not completed 7 students. In the second cycle, the volleyball bottom passing test through the playing method increased by 85% as many as 17 students who completed reaching the KKM and 15% namely students who did not complete as many as 3 students. It was concluded that the volleyball game using the playing method was very precise and was successfully used to improve the passing skills of students in class X Ipa MAN 3 Indragiri Hilir .
