Abstract

This study was conducted to test and analyze the effect of job characteristics and employee competencies on employee performance in the Riau BPJS Employment office I. The population used in this study was 51 employees. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire / questionnaire. Then the data were analyzed using multiple regression with the help of SPSS version 24. The results showed that there was an influence of job characteristics and employee competence on employee performance in the Riau BPJS Employment office I. The coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.641 or 64.10%. while the remaining 25.90% is influenced by other factors. The results showed that job characteristics and employee competencies had a positive and significant effect, and this was evident from the results of the hypothesis test where the variable (X1) was the variable of work characteristics sig value of 0.001 <0.05 so that it had a significant effect on the performance of employees at the BPJS office in Riau I , as well as the variable (X2), namely the work competency variable, the value of sig 0,000 <0.05 so that it has a significant effect on the performance of employees at the Riau BPJS Employment office I. This causes the independent variable to significantly influence the dependent variable.
