Abstract
Minor damages that were not handled immediately caused the damage to be greater and the impact widened. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of road damage that occurred on Nusantara 1 road, Peranian road and Karang Anyar kec. Mandau. Knowing the percentage level of road damage that occurs on the pavement of Nusantara 1 road, Peranian road and Karang Anyar road, Mandau district and knowing the difference and level of accuracy between the two methods of road damage when viewed from the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and Surface Distress Index (SDI) methods . In this case, the research method is using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and Surface Distress Index (SDI) methods. The data required are primary data and secondary data. Primary data includes identification of the type of damage, measurement of road damage, photos of road conditions and secondary data including sketches of location maps and SDI results in 2019 whose results will be compared with the SDI value in this study. The types of damage that can be found on the three roads include cracks in crocodile skin, loose grains, holes, collapsed, defects in pavement edges, longitudinal cracks and patches. because it shows a value of 79, where 79 is included in the range of values 71-85 for very good conditions. Meanwhile, the SDI value is categorized in good condition because it shows a value of 43, where 43 is included in the value range <50 for good conditions, the average PCI on the agricultural road is categorized in perfect condition because it shows a value of 99, where 99 is included in the value range 86-100 for perfect conditions (excelent). While the SDI value is categorized in good condition because it shows a value of 8, where 8 is included in the value range <50 for good conditions and the average PCI on the Karang Anyar road section is categorized in very good condition because it shows a value of 90, where 80 is included in value range 7185 for very good conditions. While the SDI value is categorized in good condition because it shows a value of 27, of which 27 is included in the value range <50 for good conditions. In the sensitivity analysis of SDI and PCI values carried out, the average value of the calculations based on the two methods above was obtained. relatively the same.
