Abstract
Smoking is smoking cigarettes, which is smoking tobacco rolls wrapped in palm leaves or paper that are burned into the body and blowing it back out. Conformity is a condition in which a person changes attitudes and behavior to conform to prevailing social norms in order to gain acceptance by social groups. The problem in this research is that in SMA Negeri 1 Cerenti, Kuantan Singingi Regency, there are 251 students and students as a whole from two majors of Natural Sciences and Social Sciences. The data was taken from student and student attendance and found 208 male students, 38 of whom had smoking habits and 43 students who had tried cigarettes, so this study aims to determine the relationship between conformity and smoking behavior in female adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Cerenti, Kuantan Singingi Regency. . This type of research is an analytical survey with the research location in SMA Negeri 1 Cerenti, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The types and sources of data used were primary data and secondary data, while data collection was through questionnaires and research documentation. Based on the results of research that has been conducted regarding the relationship between conformity and smoking behavior in female adolescents at SMA Negri 1 Cerenti, Kuantan Singigi Regency, it is concluded that most of the women in SMA Negeri 1 Cerenti have a high level of conformity category and have a category of smoking behavior levels moderate. Meanwhile, conformity contributes to smoking behavior in female adolescents at SMA Negri 1 Cerenti amounting to 7.1%. So that there is a significant positive correlation on conformity with smoking behavior in female adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Cerenti.
