Abstract

English is a universal language used by some major countries in the world as the main language, besides that English is an international language that is very important to learn, but for some students English is something that is not easy to learn, because there are some difficulties that are always faced by students who are learning English, such as lack of self-confidence, lack of time to study outside of school, lack of vocabulary possessed by students, difficulty to understand grammar, and not having colleagues who can help each other to practice communicating. By utilizing android-based mobile technology which is currently developing very rapidly and has become one of the most widely used mobile operating systems, it can be used to develop English learning media applications that can help students in learning English interactively by providing various features that suit student needs such as vocabulary collections, grammar material as well as Chatbots. To build this android-based interactive English learning application, use the Dart programming language and use the Flutter SDK. This application is useful as a learning medium and can be used by all students at the High School (SMA) level. Based on the results of the Black Box test, it can be concluded that the loyal button and input can run normally. Based on the results of user testing, a score of 86% was obtained with a total of 25 responded people, so this application can be used as a medium for learning English.
