Abstract
Blind people will find it difficult to read because they have to provide special books that can be used by blind people, while not all of them can make these special books. Patients will find it difficult to add information and knowledge. The development of the world of technology should be able to make it easier for special sufferers to make it easier to read and increase knowledge for their own development, including blind people. The blind have difficulty in finding the availability of books that use braille which is very limited and also there are not many applications that help blind people in reading. So that one solution to the above problems is to build an application that can help blind people read books. The result of this study is that this application can help provide good reading results. The use of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) can convert images into text, especially in standard fonts such as Times New Rowan, Arial and Helvetica.
