Abstract

Geoelectrical survey were used to investigate and delineate different type of sediment layer that has potential as an aquifer layer in Teluk Nilap Village. In another study it was concluded that the village used surface water that does not meet the provisions of Government Regulation (PP) No. 82 Year 2001. Surface water pollution is often caused by nutrients, pathogens, plastics and chemicals such as antibiotics, heavy metals and pesticide. The high levels of heavy metal content is a problem that must be considered. Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) method was carried out in 5 measurement point using the schlumberger array to locate and mapping groundwater potential based on resistivity variations in the study area. with aim of deep and confined aquifer for good water quality. From measurement, data obtained in the form of resistivity value which are used to identify three different subsurface zone. (1) Low resistivity value zone (<15-40 Ωm) identified as sandyclay layer.(2) Intermediate resistivity value zone (60-200 Ωm) type of sand, gravel considered as potential aquifer. (3) High resistivity value zone (>400 Ωm) indicate as compact rock.
