Abstract

Harum Mulyani (164110165) research with the title Effect of Pruning Frequency and Liquid Organic Fertilizer TOP G2 on the Growth and Production of Red Long Beans (Vigna Unguiculata) under the guidance of Mrs. Ir. Hj. T. Rosmawaty, M.Si. This research has been conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Islamic University of Riau, Pekanbaru City for 4 months, starting from February to May 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the interactions and the main effects of Pruning Frequency and Top G2 Liquid Organic Fertilizer on Growth and Production of Peanut Plants. Long Red (Vigna unguiculata). The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) which consisted of two factors. The first factor is the frequency of pruning (P) which consists of 3 levels, namely no pruning, 1 and 2 pruning while the second factor is the Top G2 (T) dose which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 1.5, 3 and 4.5 ml / l water is repeated 3 times, so that 36 experimental units are obtained. The parameters observed were flowering age, harvest age, number of pods per plot, longest pod length, pod weight per plot, number of remaining pods per plot and harvest index. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the real difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that: The overall effect of pruning frequency and application of Top G2 interaction did not have a significant effect on all parameters but only affected pod weight per plot with the best treatment of pruning 2 times and Top G2 fertilizer of 1.5 ml / l water (P2T1). The main effect of frequency of pruning had a significant effect on flowering age, harvesting age, number of pods per plot, pod weight per plot and harvest index with the best treatment found in the 1-time pruning treatment (P1) for flowering age, harvest age, number of pods per plot and weight. pods per plot and pruning 2 times (P2) for the harvest index. The main effect of Top G2 liquid organic fertilizer had a significant effect on harvesting age, number of pods per plot, pod weight per plot and number of residual pods per plot with the best treatment found in the Top G2 treatment of 1.5 ml / l water (T1).
