Abstract

Land use in river border areas will certainly cause many problems for urban and rural areas. Of course, land use in this river border area tends to be uncontrolled for the distribution of the buildings. Changes in river boundaries occur due to accretion and abrasion which are influenced by river currents or water damage and erosion on land. Changes in river border lines are accompanied by changes in land use by residents. These changes are not controlled by the competent authorities, of course this will have a broad impact on settlements. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, which describes the results of the mapping (maps) observed through satellite image maps that are overlaid. So from the map taken from 2015 to 2020, we get changes in river border lines caused by accretion or abrasion, while identification results in the field found changes in land use on river borders from undeveloped land or green open land to built land in the form of residential areas. The result of overlaying changes in river border lines using satellite image maps from 2016 to 2020 is 0.31 meters and the largest is 16.91 meters. Based on the results of land use in the area around the river border, Pekan Heran Village is more dominant with vegetation of 437919.43 m² and settlements with an area of 43764.17 m². Most of the land used by the community in the area around the river border is land owned by the community itself with certificated ownership status, a village certificate, but there are also those who still do not have a village certificate or letter.
