Abstract

Effect of Rabbit Manure and TSP Fertilizer on Growth and Production of Purple Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City for 4 months starting from January to April 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of giving rabbit manure and TSP fertilizers on purple eggplant. In this research plant using a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor is the dose of rabbit manure (K) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 25, 50, 75 g / plant and the second factor is the dose of TSP (T) fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 2.25, 4.5, 6.75 g / plant. in order to obtain 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, there were 48 experimental units. Each replication consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants as observation samples, so that the total number was 192 plants. The parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, fruit length, number of residual fruits. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the 5% level BNJ. The results showed that the interaction between rabbit manure and TSP had a significant effect on the parameters: plant height, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit length, and number of residual fruits. The best combination treatment is found in the application of rabbit manure 75 g / plant and TSP 6.75 g / plant. The main effect of rabbit manure was real on all parameters, the best treatment was 75 g / plant. The main effect of TSP was significant on all parameters, the best treatment was the dose of 6.75 g / plant
