Abstract

Application of palm oil liquid waste and urea fertilizer to the growth of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) in the main nursery. The research objective was to determine the effect of the interaction and the main application of palm oil liquid waste and urea fertilizer on the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery. The research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, for 3 months from December 2019 to March 2020. The study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the application of palm oil liquid waste consisting of 4 levels of treatment, namely 0, 1,500, 3,000, and 4,500 ml / plant. The second factor is Urea fertilizer consisting of 4 levels of treatment, namely 0, 2.5, 5, and 7.5 g / plant, so that there are 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications and 48 experimental units (plots), each plot consisting of 2 observed plants. The parameters observed were plant height, increase in the number of leaf midribs, increase in stem length, increase in stem girth, and root volume. The data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance (ANOVA). If F count is greater than F table, then continue the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of oil palm liquid waste and urea had a significant effect on plant height, the number of leaf midribs, the longest midrib, stem girth, and root volume. The best treatments were 4,500 ml / plant oil palm liquid waste and 5 g urea / plant. The main effect of oil palm liquid waste was significant on all parameters, the best treatment was the dose with 4,500 ml / plant. The main effect of urea was significant on all parameters, the best treatment was at a dose of 5 g / plant.T.
