Abstract

A sustainable city is very centered on the issue of the quality of life community. The aspect of city parks is an important factor that makes cities livable, fun and attractive for city residents. The provision of city parks still has problems in social, economic and environmental aspects that support sustainable city parks. This problem is exacerbated by the large number of street vendors (PKL), the imagined of green open space is not accordance with the reality that many park facilities are damaged and inadequate, and at night the lighting facilities that are very lacking are often misused to commit immorality, causing the safety and comfort of green open space visitors to be reduced. The purpose of this study was to determine the motivation to visit, the emotional dimension when in green open space and public satisfaction with city park facilities. The types of data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The primary data in this study were obtained from distributing questionnaires in the RTH Tunjuk Ajar Integritas, while the secondary data were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics, literature, and the Department of Public Works. This study used quantitative descriptive method obtained by calculating the Likert scale from the questionnaire results of 100 visitors in RTH Tunjuk Ajar Integritas which analyzed by using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the value of sig Ë‚ 0.05 which means that there is a difference between the variants (gender, age and education) with sub-indicators on visitor motivation on the motive of playing with children, seeing art performances, recreation and selfie and welfie. For the emotional dimension sub-indicator, there is a sig value Ë‚ 0.05 which means that there are differences in the sub-indicators of getting new things, feeling happy in interacting with other people, free from daily busyness, feeling friendly with the nature, feeling relax in spending time in green open space, feeling satisfied when exploring the environment and feel calm and peaceful while in RTH. As well as for the sub-indicator of public satisfaction, visitors feel somewhat satisfied with the facilities in the RTH Tunjuk Ajar Integritas with a percentage rate of 63%. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the quality of green open space both in terms of facilities and in terms of the role of green open space itself in supporting the role of green open space in accordance with Law no. 26 of 2007 about concerning Spatial Planning, which provides a foundation on how to create a safe, comfortable, productive and sustainable space.
