Abstract
Biosurfactants can be produced from bacteria or fungi grown on various substrates. This research was conducted to produce Biosurfactants from Aspergillus niger fungus that had been grown on solid Stone Mineral Salt Solution (SMSS) medium with the addition of used cooking oil, liquid paraffin, and tapioca flour as carbon sources and NH4NO3 as nitrogen sources. The best carbon source for the growth of the fungus Aspergillus niger is tapioca flour. Biosurfactant production by Aspergillus niger was carried out in liquid SMSS media with the addition of 16 ml cooking oil and liquid paraffin as carbon source in 4 erlenmeyer, NH4NO3 as a nitrogen source, carried out at pH 4, and using fungi that had been grown on solid SMSS media. The best Biosurfactants were produced from liquid media + liquid paraffin with fungi from solid media + tapioca flour (sample 4), then from liquid media + liquid paraffin with fungi from solid media + liquid paraffin (sample 3), then liquid media + cooking oil with fungi from solid media + tapioca flour (sample 2), and finally liquid media + cooking oil with fungi from solid media + cooking oil (sample 1). The highest ODA value was given by sample 4 with a value (6 cm), then sample 1 (4.1 cm), sample 2 (3.6 cm), and sample 3 (2.4 cm). The highest E24 was given by Biosurfactants from sample 4 with a value of (51.3%), sample 3 (28%), and samples 1 and 2 (13%). The results of the highest surface tension drop test were given by Biosurfactants from sample 4 (20.5 dyne/cm), sample 3 (10 dyne/cm), sample 2 (8.3 dyne/cm), and sample 1 (8.2 dyne/cm).
