Abstract

This research has been conducted at the Experimental Field at the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution No. 113, KM 11, Marpoyan, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, for 5 months starting from March to July 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction effect of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer and water. young coconut on the growth and yield of okra plants. The design used in the study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, where the first factor was NPK 16:16:16 (N) fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 7, 14, 21 g / plant. The second factor is young coconut water (D) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 200, 400, 600 ml / l. Of these two factors, there were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so that there were 48 experimental units in total. Parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, longest fruit length, residual fruit. The observational data were then analyzed statistically and continued with the Honestly Significant Difference Test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer and young coconut water did not affect all of the observed parameters. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer on all parameters of observation, the best treatment is 21 g / plant (N3), but with 14 g / plant (N2) it is sufficient to produce the same growth and production as N3 treatment. Meanwhile, the main effect of giving young coconut water did not affect all of the observed parameters.
