Abstract

This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University. Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM 11, No. 113 Subdistrict Air Cold, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction between the water concentration of shrimp waste extract and the dosage of AB mix nutrients on the growth and production of pagoda mustard plants using the hydroponic axis system (wick). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial which consisted of 2 factors, where the first factor was the water concentration of shrimp waste extract consisting of 4 levels, namely: 0, 50, 100, and 150 ml / l. Water and the second factor was the dose. AB mix nutrition consists of 4 levels, namely: 0, 700, 1000, and 1200 Ppm / plant, in order to obtain 16 treatment combinations. The parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf area (cm2), economic wet weight (g), and root volume (cm3) of mustard greens. Observation data were analyzed statistically and further tested by BNJ at the 5% level. The interaction of various water concentrations of shrimp waste extract and AB mix nutrient dose did not have a significant effect on plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf area (cm2), economic wet weight (g), and root volume (cm3) of plants. mustard pagoda. However, the water concentration of shrimp waste extract and the dosage of AB mix nutrients showed a significant effect on plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf area (cm2), economic wet weight (g), and root volume (cm3) of mustard greens. pagoda. The best treatment was the water concentration of shrimp waste extract as much as 150 ml / l. Water, and the dosage of nutrients AB mix was 1200 Ppm / plant. The results of this study showed that the combination of water treatment of shrimp waste extract and AB mix nutrition did not show a significant interaction with the growth of mustard greens. So it is necessary to do research related to the causes of this interaction in reality.
