Abstract

Application of Root Tuba (Derris eliptica) for Plutella xylostella Pest Control on Cabbage (Brassica oleracea Var. Capita). The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City for 4 months, starting from February to May 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dosing and application time on Plutella xylostella pest on cabbage (Brassica oleracea Var. Capiita). The design used in conducting this research was a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) which consisted of two factors. The first factor is the Tuba Root Dose (T) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 25, 50, 75 ml and the second factor is the Application Time (W) which consists of 3 levels, namely 5, 10, 15 days so that 12 treatment combinations are obtained. 3 replications, then there are 36 experimental plots. Each experimental plot consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants as samples, a total of 144 plants. The parameters observed were plant age affected, attack percentage, crop formation age, harvest age, crop weight. Data were analyzed statistically and continued with the 5% BNJ level. Based on the results of research that has been carried out by interaction it can be concluded as follows: Interaction of treatment of tubal root dose concentrations and application time intervals has a significant effect on all observation parameters, where the best treatment is at the concentration of tubal root dose 75ml / l and the apaliaksi time interval of 5 days once simultaneously with the application treatment that is T3W1. The main effect on the treatment of tuba root dose concentration has a significant effect on all observed parameters, the best treatment is at a concentration of 75ml / l (T3). The main effect on the application time interval has a significant effect on all observation parameters, the best concurrent treatment in the application of the root dosage is once every 5 days (W1)
