Abstract
Analysis of Watermelon Farming in Rambah Muda Village, Rambah Hilir District, Rokan Hulu Regency. under Dr. Ir. U.P. Ismail, M.Agr as the first supervisor and Ir. H. Tibrani, M.Si as the second supervisor. Watermelon is an important plant so it needs to be managed properly so that it can produce optimally. This study aims: to determine the characteristics of farmers and farming profiles of watermelon plants in Rambah Muda Village, Rambah Hilir District, Rokan Hulu Regency, to know the use of production and production factors in watermelon farming in Rambah Muda Village, Rambah Hilir District, Rokan Hulu Regency, to know the income and efficiency of watermelon farming in Rambah Muda Village, Rambah Hilir District, Rokan Hulu Regency, analyzed the Break Even Point (BEP) of watermelon farming in Rambah Muda Village, Rambah Hilir District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The method used by researchers is a survey. The technique of taking respondents by means of a census. The respondents of this research were 14 watermelon farmers in Rambah Muda Village, Rambah Hilir District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The data can be concluded that it consists of 1) Characteristics of watermelon farmers, the average age of farmers is 48 years, farmer education level is 6 years, farming experience for 4-5 years and the number of dependents of the family is 3 people. 2) Watermelon cultivation techniques carried out in Rambah Muda Village, Rambah Hilir District, Rokan Hulu Regency include planting, fertilizing, maintaining and harvesting. The average depreciation value of the equipment used by watermelon farmers is Rp. 7,135,346, the use of labor for watermelon farming uses more labor within the family than outside the family, namely the average use of TKDK is 16.0 HKP and TKLK is 2.0 HKP, fertilizers used are compost, NPK fertilizer and Ponska fertilizer. , pesticides and seeds. 3) Average income of watermelon farmers is Rp. 26,792,000, net income of Rp. 8,907,259, family work income of Rp. 13,048,435, farm efficiency (RCR) of 1.5. 4) Break Even Point (BEP) for watermelon farming in Rambah Muda Village, Rambah Hilir District, Rokan Hulu Regency is 0.44
