Abstract

This study analyzed Rainfed Rice Farming in Teluk Lanus Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency, while the objectives of this study were to determine (1) the characteristics of rainfed lowland rice farmers, (2) determine rainfed lowland rice cultivation technology and (3) know the use of production factors, production costs, income and efficiency of rain-fed rice in Teluk Lanus Village, Sungai Apit District. This study used a survey method. Sampling was done by simple random sampling (Simple Random Sampling) as many as 36 farmers. The analysis used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the average rainfed lowland rice farmers in Teluk Lanus Village were 44 (43.6) years old, educated for 9 (8.58) years (SMP), the number of family members was 4 people. Rainfed lowland rice cultivation technology, nursery soil cultivation, planting, maintenance (weeding and planting), pest control, harvest and post-harvest are in accordance with the theory put forward. However, the use of fertilizers in the research area is not in accordance with the theory put forward. Using production factors, the average land area is 1.06 Ha / arable / MT. the use of TK is 18.41 HOK / MT, the use of seeds is 31.03 kg / MT. use of urea fertilizer of 123.89 kg / arable / MT, KCL of 116.67 kg / arable / MT and TSP of 115.83 kg / arable / MT, regen pesticides of 0.68 liters / arable / MT and glido pesticides 0, 13 liters / arable / MT, herbicide solutions of 1.19 liters / arable / MT and spontaneously 0.21 liters / arable / MT. Use of 2 units of hoes, 1 unit of machete / sickle and 1 unit of hand sprayer. Total production costs amounted to IDR 6,104,337.96 arable / MT, total fixed costs of IDR 236,310.19 arable / MT and total variable costs of IDR 5,868,027.78 arable / MT. Total production averaged 3,088.89 kg / arable / MT. Total gross income of Rp. 14,625,444.44 arable / MT and total net income of Rp. 8,521,106.48 arable / MT. The RCR value of 2.4 means that the rainfed lowland rice business in the Research area is efficient and feasible to operate.
