Abstract

This research is correlation research. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a significant relationship between self efficacy and learning outcomes. The instruments used in data collection were questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The study was conducted on September 25 - October 15, 2019. The sampling technique in this study was using the Proportional Random Sampling technique. The sample in this study was 98 students. The questionnaire distributed consisted of 30 statements. Based on the results of data processing and analysis of research data described the results of the analysis found that, the correlation coefficient (r ) of 0.22 with a significant level of 5%, this shows that self-efficacy towards the learning outcomes of science students in grade VIII of SMPN in KuantanSingingi, Riau. From testing the hypothesis obtained t count (2.26) > t table count (1.98). This means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted "There is a significant relationship between self efficacy towards the learning outcomes of science students in class VIII of SMPN in KuantanSingingi in Academic Year 2019/2020". Then from the results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination obtained by 5%, meaning that the self efficacy variable (X) makes a positive contribution to learning outcomes (Y) obtained by students by 5% while 95% is determined by variables or other factors that can affect student learning outcomes that not discussed in this research preformance.
