Abstract

Car rental agreements arise as a result of the development process in the business world, this also helps the wider community to open businesses such as car rentals with the aim of achieving prosperity. A car rental business or often called a car rental here means those who have a legal entity such as PT. Dodi Salma Tour & Travel which is referred to as a service provider and the other party as a tenant, the legal relationship between the two causes the car rental agreement. Based on the background of the problem, this research formulates two problems. First, how is the implementation of the lease agreement between the tenant and PT. Dodi Salma Tour & Travel in 2022. Second, the completion of the agreement between the tenant and PT. Dodi Salma Tour & Travel in 2022. The research was conducted using a sociological normative method with the aim of obtaining data from both a practical and scientific perspective. Primary data collection was carried out in the city of Dumai by conducting interviews with business owners. Secondary data collection is done by literature study. Qualitatively collected data, data obtained from interviews and research will be arranged systematically, then analyzed to achieve the problems to be discussed. The results of the study show that first, the agreement of the agreement is carried out with an oral promise as a kinship and trust. The car rental agreement is agreed upon by both parties, if the rights and obligations of each party have been fulfilled. Second, the settlement of defaults that occur is by non-litigation or dispute outside the court. This is done by negotiation and mediation.
