Abstract
The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City. The study was from January to March 2020. The aim of this study was to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of rice husk charcoal and the concentration of queen biogen on the growth and yield of cucumber plants. The study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is Rice Husk Charcoal (A) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 1,2, 1.8 and 2.4 kg / plot and the second factor is the concentration of Ratu Biogen (R) consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 1, 2, and 3 ml / l of water to obtain 16 treatment combinations. Each treatment combination was repeated 3 times for a total of 48 experimental units. Each replication consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants used as samples, so that the total plants totaled 192 plants. The parameters observed were flowering age, harvest age, number of female flowers, percentage of female flowers to fruit, number of fruit per plot, fruit weight per plot and harvest index. If the F count obtained is greater than the F table, then it is carried out by further testing the Honestly Real Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results of the study were concluded as follows: The interaction of giving rice husk charcoal and biogen queen gave a significant effect on the number of fruits per plot and fruit weight per plot. The best treatment was combination of dose of rice husk charcoal 2.4 kg / plot and the concentration of queen biogen 3 ml / l water (A3R3). The main effect of rice husk charcoal was significant on all observed parameters. The best treatment was the dose of rice husk charcoal 2.4 kg / plot (A3). The main effect of the queen of biogens was significant for all observed parameters. The best treatment was the concentration of the queen biogen 3 ml / l water (R3).
