Abstract

We cannot deny that the decline in oil reserves and production over time and oil production activities. For a long time, our oil production has been depleted (exhausted). To meet the need for fuel oil (BBM) in Indonesia, efforts should be made to find new wells. Production from oil wells, generally the fluid can flow itself to the surface because it has a natural driving force, namely reservoir pressure (Pr). Because the well is produced continuously and the reservoir pressure decreases so that its energy can no longer push or lift the fluid to the surface. To prepare for the problem of reducing the rate of production of an oil, we need to prepare everything in order to overcome this, including we need to know or do calculations about what causes our production rate to decrease. However, if we already know what things can determine the problem of the decline in oil flow rate in a reservoir. It is necessary to know the optimization calculation of the flow rate of oil in a reservoir if perforation activities are carried out in the formation.Productivity Index is an index used to express the ability of a well to produce under certain conditions, or expressed as a comparison between the production rate of a well at a certain price of bottom well flow pressure (Pwf) with the difference in well bottom pressure in a static state (Ps) and the bottom well pressure at the time of flow (Pwf), expressed in stock tank barrels per day. Flow in fluid is divided into several parts, including laminar and turbulent flow. (IPR) is a curve that describes the ability of a well to produce, which is expressed in terms of the relationship between the production rate (q) and the bottom well flow pressure (Pwf). Perforation is an activity of making a hole when a well or gas is ready to be produced. Explosives (perforators) are the most important part of this activity
