Abstract
This research was conducted in Central Kuantan District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. In connection with this research, the object is the Bird Shop Business. As for the problem in this study is whether the accounting application used by the bird shop business is appropriate or not with the basic accounting concepts that are generally accepted in running the bird shop business. The purpose of this research is to determine the application of accounting carried out by the bird shop business in Central Kuantan District with the basic concepts of accounting. The data collected are primary data and secondary data. The data collection methods are interviews and observations. Meanwhile, the data analysis used descriptivemethod. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be concluded that the application of accounting in the bird shop business in Central Kuantan District is not in accordance with the current basic accounting concepts.
