Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of career development on employee performance. This research was conducted at PT Telekomunikasi Witel Daratan Riau Pekanbaru. The population in this study amounted to 92 people, while the sample in this study were employees in 4 departments, namely the Government & Enterprise service department, the customer care department. Department of Network area & is Operation, and Department of Access Optima & Maintenance totaling 35 people. The data analysis used is simple linear regression. The results of the study where the response to the career development variable obtained a score of 1.058 in the good category besides that, the results of the recapitulation where the score produced by the performance variable was 1.552 in the good category. Hypothesis testing explains that there is a significant influence between career development and employee performance. The better the career development program that the company provides to its employees is expected to increase employee morale at work so that the resulting performance continues to increase.
