Abstract

This study aims to identy and analyze motivation given by the head of KUA to employees at the district office of religious affairs seberida indragiri hulu. Indicators used include from physical needs, security needs, social needs, esteem needs and self-actualization needs. This type of research is descriptive survey with qualitative methods of researchers collected data by face to face and interact with the respondent. There is one person key informan is the head office of religious affairs seberida, and four empoyees as informants. The sampling technique used is the census method,because the numbers are small and can be reached about the same time. The types and sources of data used are primary data and secondary data, and data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documents. From the results of the discussion conducted by researchers on each sub-indicator, it can be seen that some employees still lack understanding about providing opportunities to develop abilities and realize their potential. It can also be concluded that the Head of KUA Seberida is less concerned about the development of his employees so that the employees work as they are without having to further develop their abilities and realize their potential
