Abstract
Inflow control devices (ICD) is a passive component of well completion which is used to optimize production by making the inflow to all parts of the horizontal well and this ICD is adjusted above the surface and then applied to the wellbore cannot be rearranged. By identifying zones, various configurations of ICD completion are designed to control the breakthrough zone which is then simulated. The simulation results of various ICD configurations are compared to determine the optimal design. Where, the design goal is to optimize oil inflow, oil rate, and recovery in order to reduce gas and water production. ICD completion was installed to minimize annular flow caused by the Heel toe effect and the difference between annular and tubing flow areas in a homogeneous reservoir. Autonomous Inflow Control Device (AICD) is a tool that functions to limit the flow of unwanted fluids (Water or Gas). AICD was developed specifically to prevent problems that often occur in horizontal wells. AICD is the latest generation of ICD which is not only functioned as a passive device. AICD does not have Simple, Reliable and Cost Effective results. This research is interested in increasing oil production and overcoming the water breakthrough. Based on research that has been carried out, fluid influx optimization using AICD has been successfully carried out. Where the cumulative oil production in conventional horizontal wells is 14662174.27 bbl, while those using AICD have cumulative oil production results of 15259994. 04 bbl and water production cumulative in conventional horizontal wells is 172647123.4 bbl while using AICD water production cumulative is 166385277.3 bbl. In conventional multi-layer horizontal wells, the yield was 17612663.09 bbl while multi-layer wells using AICD had yields of 18067630.24 bbl. Then the cumulative water production in the conventional horizontal multi-layer completion well is 115427207.1 bbl, while the well using AICD is 95819081.15 bbl.
