Abstract

The title in this study is based on the background of the observation results what the authors do to Indonesian language subject teachers conducted on Monday, August 03, 2020 at SMP Negeri 2 Bangko that application of discovery learning models above 50%, (always and often). The problem that the writer considers is: How is the application of the learning model discovery in Indonesian class IX, SMP Negeri 2 Bangko ?. This research has the aim of knowing, describing, observing the application of discovery learning models to learning observations Indonesian language class IX SMP Negeri 2 Bangko. The population in this study are all 175 students of class IX SMP Negeri 2 Bangko. Sample which is taken by 10% of the total students, namely 108 people. Method The author's research is a descriptive method, which describes the application discovery learning model in Indonesian class IX subjects SMP Negeri 2 Bangko Rokan Hilir Regency, 2019/2020 academic year. Technique data collection is interview techniques and questionnaire techniques. Based on the results data description and analysis of research data on the application of learning models discovery in Indonesian language subjects class IX SMP Negeri 2 Bangko Rokan Hilir Regency, the value scale is always 30 respondents with 27.78%, the value scale is often 38 respondents with 35.57%, the value scale is sometimes 35 respondents with 31.94%, and the value scale was never 5 respondents with 4.71%. So as a whole the answer to the value scale is always and often amounting to 68 people or 63.35%, can be accepted.
