Abstract
Learning devices are tools designed by the teacher to make it easier for teachers to carry out the learning process so that they can support the achievement of the expected success of learning activities. But in fact, the mathematics learning tools made by the teacher are still not in accordance with the existing applications in the classroom. This study aims to produce learning tools on the material of valid flat- sided shapes using the POE (Prediction, Observation, Explanation) model. The learning tools developed are in the form of syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets on the material of building a flat side room. This type of research is a development research with the ADDIE model which has been modified into 3 stages (Analysis, Design and Development) without the Implementation and Evaluation stages. The research data collection instrument was in the form of a validation sheet for learning tools in the form of a syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheet. The data analysis used is descriptive data analysis which describes the level of validity of the product. This study produced a valid syllabus, lesson plan, and student worksheet with 83.65%, 87.86%, and 86.31%, respectively. This study concluded that the development of mathematics learning tools based on the POE model on the material of flat-sided shapes has been tested for its validity.
