Abstract

Transportation problems in cities and roads usually arise due to the increase in the volume of vehicles in contrast to the growth of transportation infrastructure and the increasing movement of traffic flow every day. This has an impact on the occurrence of very complex problems on the smooth flow of traffic. Therefore, information about the flow rate of traffic in cities and roads is very important to know. The transportation system regarding average daily traffic is needed, therefore observations are made, therefore the authors conducted an analysis or observation of the eastern Pangakan Kerinci road using primary data and using descriptive statistical methods. From the data obtained from the survey location and the results of the mathematical analysis, it can be concluded that the types of class I vehicles are 35,443, class II vehicles are 45,426, class III vehicles are 2,457, class IV vehicles are 16,325 and the value of standard deviation (σ) on vehicles Class I vehicles are 596.29, class II vehicles are 999.33, class III vehicles are 110.10, class IV vehicles are 157.05. The value of the Coefficient of Variation (Cx) for class I vehicles is 1.16%, class II vehicles are 1.50%, class III vehicles are 2.85% and class IV vehicles are 0.67%. Total average coefficient value the variation in all classes of vehicles has a value of 1.10%. If the coefficient of variation> 1%, the traffic flow will experience disturbances, including congestion as evidenced by the field survey at the highest morning, namely class IV vehicles at 7.50%, at noon the highest is class IV vehicles at 7.69% and at night the highest class II vehicles were 8.47%.
