Abstract

are so many potentials of sago, in processing it is obtained sago amapas. Sago waste has many materials that are used, one of which is used in the effect of mixing sago waste with resin resin as a particle board (biocomposite material PARTICLE BOARD). The lignocellulose factor found in sago pulp is the same as wood, so it is very good for affecting particleboard. Resin type adhesive is a strong enough adhesive to be used as a matrix for particle board. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of the physical properties of density, moisture content, thickness expansion, and mechanical properties of elasticity toughness (MOE), and fracture toughness (MOR) following the Indonesian national standard process. In this research phase using an experimental method, a population of 6 particle boards with a mixed percentage of 60% sago dregs + 35% resin + 5% compatibilizer for sample 1, 70% sago dregs 25% resin + 5% compatibilizer for sample 2, and 80% sago dregs + 15% resin + 5% compatibilizer for sample 3, then hot at a temperature of 120oC with a size of 30x30x1 cm. The results obtained are: density testing 0.69 gr / cm3, 0.67 gr / cm3, 0.66 gr / cm3. Water content testing 17%, 19%, 20%. 0.1% thick swelling test on all particle boards. Testing the modulus of elasticity (MOE) 2.05 (104 kgf / cm3), 1.94 (104 kgf / cm3), 1.16 (104 kgf / cm3). Testing Modulus of rupture (MOE) 100.83 kgf / cm3, 104.65 kgf / cm3, 54.72 kgf / cm3. All tests follow the requirements of SNI 03-2105-2006, some of which meet the requirements set by SNI and some do not.
