Abstract
The transmission system is a system that delivers energy from the engine to the differential and axles. This conversion converts the high rotation speed to a lower but powerful one or vice versa. Manual seeding has a disadvantage, namely that when the seeds are sown, they will be easily scattered because the seeds are only held in hand. This study aims to design a transmission system for a seed seeding machine that uses a tractor wheel to ration the seeds. The main components of the transmission system consist of pulleys, chains, sprockets, belts and shafts. The results of the study were obtained with the driving power used in this seed seeder is 1hp with a rotation of 3600 rpm. For the pulley and sprocket transmission system, each rotation is: pulley1 to pulley2 1066 rpm, Sprocket1 to sprocket2 315 rpm, and sprocket3 to sprocket4 95 rpm.
