Abstract
ABSTRACT Research conducted by this writer to determine wheter the application of accounting at the Sungai Sembilam sub-distrcit office in Dumai Cityis in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This research was conducted at the Sungai Sembilan District Head Office in Dumai Citty, which is located at Jalan Raya Lubuk Gaung, Dumai The research design in this study is in form of a qualitative method because this research is in the form of a researcher’s interpretation of a phenomenon, then this research is descriptive supported by relevant theories. Primary data and secondary data are the types and sources of data in this study. Direct interviews and documentation are data collection techniques conducted by the author in research Sungai Sembilan sub-district office in Dumai City did not fully refer to the generally accepted accounting principles, which is to show the results of this research.
