Abstract

Supervision can be interpreted as the process of observing the implementation of organizational activities to ensure that all work being carried out goes according to what is determined either through standards, implementation, comparison and corrective steps. This study discusses how the supervision carried out by BBPOM Pekanbaru on Illegal Cosmetic products in Pekanbaru City. The problem that arises is that there are cosmetic products that do not have a distribution permit number in the market. The aim of this research is to find out how the BBPOM monitors the illegal cosmetic trade in Pekanbaru City. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with the research location in Pekanbaru City. The types of data used are primary and secondary data, while the data collection techniques are direct observation, interviews with documentation. This research uses theory according to G.R Terry, where there are four standard indicators, implementation, comparison, improvement. After data can be obtained then grouped according to type, then the data is analyzed and linked to theories so that conclusions can be drawn. Based on the results of the research, it shows that the supervision carried out by BBPOM has gone well with the improvements made in recent years in line with the awards received by BBPOM Pekanbaru city.
